Tours are open 2 to 4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays June 3 through Aug. 13 at the historic 1884 William Fulton House in Garden City’s Lee Richardson Zoo. The house is operated by the Finney County Historical Museum, where summer exhibit hours have been extended and include 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sundays, effective May 30. Admission to the Folk Victorian-style Fulton House and the museum is free. The house was built by one of Garden City’s founders and features period-correct furnishings and surrounding gardens. The museum features more than a dozen standing and changing exhibits, a Lego area for children and a dress-up room styled like the accommodations in Garden City’s historic Windsor Hotel. The Museum Store is open whenever exhibits are, offering Garden City and Kansas items, books, videos, postcards, handcrafts, souvenirs, decorative items, original art, craft goods and pottery by local artists and artisans, toys inspired by times past, T-shirts, jewelry, historic photographs and items linked to area history and culture. Information is available at 620-272-3664. Office hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, with the exception of Memorial Day, and research library hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Friday.
