KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Amarillo has a new—and Official—City Logo

amarillo.com

The city of Amarillo unveiled their new logo this week.  The logo was approved by the city council, and designed by Tyler Mitchell according to a recent article in the Amarillo Globe-News.

Previous efforts to create a new logo, resulted in a similarity to an overseas company.  During the city council meeting, attorney Chris Stewart described the vetting process to ensure originality of the new

design.

AGN Media held an online contest to facilitate the new work.  A committee of five, including members from Amarillo College and West Texas A&M University, chose the winner.

Tyler Mitchell attended the meeting Tuesday.  He received a $500 gift card from an AGN Media advertiser and a $1,000 from Roaster’s Coffee & Tea.
