KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Charles Koch and The Texas Public Policy Foundation Change Focus to Municipal Government

businessweek.com

Charles Koch and the Texas Public Policy Foundation are narrowing their focus to city government.

In an interview with The Wichita Eagle, Koch said he is starting a new campaign in Wichita to talk about economic freedom as well as provide a warning about governmental overreach.  The effort begins this week, will cost the Koch Foundation around $200,000, and run for four weeks.  Koch said if it is successful, he could expand it to other cities.

KUT News reported The Texas Public Policy Foundation is following a similar path.  After working to influence state policy at the capitol, the new Center for Local Governance will labor to identify and solve local problems such as spending, funding, local control, and government transparency.
