As she reflects over Christmas past, Skip Mancini recalls how "Christmas" and "white" rarely happen at the same time. 

As a matter of fact, in all her years, she can count on one hand the occasions they coincided.  She concedes that Christmas on the high plains is seldom white, but it's festive all the same.
