The Performers

Maggie Burt

Maggie is an Amarillo-based singer-songwriter, a multi-instrumentalist and a member of Amarillo's Turbine Toolshed. You can see some of her performances recorded in Austin on YouTube.

Dana Hubbard

Dana relocated to Amarillo from Berkeley last year. Dana spends a good portion of the year on the road. He is a veteran of the folk festival circuit, with a long list of awards and opening act credits to his name. You can see those lists on his website danahubbard.com.

Gary Thomason

The Groobees, Sadie's Rangers, Lonesome Goat and The Flying Elbows are just a few of the bands that have counted Gary Thomason as one of their members. He has been a standout on the Amarillo music scene for over 20 years.

Mike Fuller

Your host for the evening, Mike is the Music Director at High Plains Public Radio as well as the host of High Plains Morning. His most recent CD is 'Live and More', recorded at the Fibonacci in August of 2012.

Mike Fuller remains our station's favorite prodigal son. Former Music Director of High Plains Public Radio, and host of High Plains Morning (2010-2015), he has returned to HPPR with a new show called What The Folk?—a signature mix of folk, roots, Americana, and more—woven together by a unifying theme. Tune in every Saturday night at 7pm CT for a two-hour mix that could only come from the man himself.
