HPPR will provide live coverage of the vice-presidential debate on Thursday, October 11, starting at 8 pm CT from the Centre College in Danville, KY.  The debate will cover both foreign and domestic topics and be divided into nine time segments of approximately 10 minutes each.

In accordance with the agreed upon debate format, the moderator, Martha Raddatz, Senior Foreign Affairs Correspondent, ABC News, will ask an opening question, after which each candidate will have two minutes to respond. The moderator will then use the balance of the time in the segment for a discussion of the question.

HPPR’s coverage will include live broadcasting and streaming of the 90 minute debate in its entirety, followed by analysis by NPR.  Senior Washington editor Ron Elving will host the analysis and be accompanied by analysts E.J. Dionne and Matt Continetti, several NPR policy reporters, as well as Mara Liasson and Don Gonyea, the campaign reporters traveling with and covering the Romney and Obama campaigns respectively.

HPPR will also provide live coverage of the two remaining presidential debates on October 16th and 22nd.
