Songwriters in the Round on November 21

HPPR’s Songwriter in the Round series continues on Friday, November 21!  This event will be at the Fibonacci, located at 3306 SW 6th Ave, at the home of Chamber Music Amarillo.  We’ll open the doors at 7:00, and the show will start at 7:30.  We’ll have the usual great coffee from the folks at Evocation Coffee Roasters and cookies from Kristy Fuller.  To make a reservation for this show, call us at 806-367-9088 or send an e-mail to music@hppr.org.

The Performers:

 Mike Borger

Mike has been a member of Amarillo’s Prairie Dogs for many years.  Featured several times on Bob Phillips’ syndicated television show, Texas Country Reporter, the band has also opened concerts for Michael Martin Murphey, Gary Allen, The Great Divide, Red Steagall, Pure Prairie League and Merle Haggard.

Gary Guinn

Gary has been a fixture on the Amarillo Music scene for over 30 years. He is a current member of The Prairie Dogs, as well as a former member of the Clyde Logg Band.   He also plays in a trio that has no name with Mike Fuller and Woody Key.

Rick Todd

Rick is a songwriter, a published poet, multi-instrumentalist and a member of Those Guys.

Mike Fuller

Mike is the Music Director at High Plains Public Radio, the host of High Plains Morning and your host for the evening.  He has released 3 cds under his own name and another as part of a trio with Ronnie Fleming and Gary Thomason of Sadie’s Rangers.

Mike Fuller remains our station's favorite prodigal son. Former Music Director of High Plains Public Radio, and host of High Plains Morning (2010-2015), he has returned to HPPR with a new show called What The Folk?—a signature mix of folk, roots, Americana, and more—woven together by a unifying theme. Tune in every Saturday night at 7pm CT for a two-hour mix that could only come from the man himself.
