KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. Texas Wind Energy Production: West Texas Leads

Texas leads the nation in wind energy production, and a lot of that wind power comes from the panhandle. A recent article from State Impact Texas features a map showing annual wind energy production by county.

Note: Keep in mind that the values revealed by the Texas map are not exact because the information is tracked by wind farm, and some farms spread across multiple counties.
