Becky Teeter was always the tower in her household that everyone leaned on. She and her husband Monty adopted two children in the eighties, and their family grew in strength and love over the years. Monty realized his dream of owning his own irrigation company. Becky supported him, becoming his bookkeper. Teeter irrigation now has over 100 employees.
This corner of Kansas is rayllying around Becky, who has contracted atypical Creutzfeldt-Jakob prion disease, with brain-stem and cerebellar dysfunctions. Through the years, Becky has been a source of strength and inspiration in their Kansas town. “She was always leaving notes all over the house,” Monty said—reminders of her love for her family. Now the woman who spent much of her life sending cards and notes of encouragement into her community is receiving cards by the hundreds in return.
