Wounded Warriors returned to the Texas Panhandle for the third year.  The Pampa News reports 24 veterans arrived in Pampa this weekend for mule deer season.  The group was mostly Iraq and Afghanistan vets.

Clay Wheeler is the president of the Lone Start chapter of Serve Outdoors.  He says Pampa offers something for every warrior, from a gentlemen’s hunt with a heated blind to high adventure.

Wheeler complimented the community saying Pampa has opened its arms more than most.  He also says it’s the only place in the state Wounded Warriors can hunt a wild herd.

The purpose of Serve Outdoors, Inc. is to help people with disabilities, disabled veterans, elderly, and youngsters enjoy outdoor recreation.
