The State of Texas has revealed a program that offers incentives to residents who purchase or lease cars that use alternative fuels. This state is offering a $2,500 cash back deal two Texans who decide to buy green automobiles.

Car sales are continuing their downward trend in Colorado, the Denver Business Journal reports.

This September, new vehicle registrations were down by over 13 percent from the same time last year. This marks the second month in a row that Colorado has shown year-over-year declines in new vehicle registrations.

In regional news, Coloradans are buying more new cars these days than at any time in the last decade, reports Colorado Public Radio. The trend has lifted the spirits—and the profits—of the state’s auto dealers. Many of the state’s residents now feel good enough about the economy  to invest in big purchases such as automobiles.
