A polling group has published a list of the least and most popular senators, according to their home-state approval ratings. Bernie Sanders, the Vermont socialist Democrat, holds the highest approval rating according to The Rural Blog.


With Election Day upon us, Nate Silver, the polling analyst famed for his accurate forecast of the 2012 election, has his final projections for hotly contested races in our region:

Colorado Republicans cut number candidates significantly during a recent statewide assembly. U.S. Rep. Gardner will not have a primary challenger. The number of gubernatorial hopefuls was whittled down from seven to four.
