HPPR Budget and Funding Sources

High Plains Public Radio is funded primarily through a variety of private sources.  These sources are projected to provide the following shares of income for the fiscal year 2012 operating budget of $1,041,159:

38%   Membership contributions

23%   Business underwriting

18%   Private foundations

3%    Tower leasing

1%    Vehicle donations

83%  TOTAL PRIVATE SUPPORT

The remaining 17% of operating funding is from the Corporation for Public Broadcasting in the form of an annual Community Service Grant.  This grant has been declining steadily in recent years.
