Texas Panhandle towns experience their best first quarter in real-estate since before the recession in 2008.

Separate analyses of theAmarillo Association of Realtors Multiple Listing Service data shows that single-family home sales are up 12.5 percent to 14.7 percent, when compared with results from the first quarter of 2014.

Amarillo Globe NewsReporter Karen Smith Welch reports that brisk home sales in and across Amarillo and Canyon brought the local market its best first quarter since 2006.
