KZNA-FM 90.5 serving northwest Kansas will be off the air starting the afternoon of Monday, October 20 through Friday as we replace its aging and unreliable transmitter. While we're off-air, you can keep listening to our digital stream directly above this alert or on the HPPR mobile app. This planned project is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining free and convenient access to public radio service via FM radio to everyone in the listening area. For questions please contact station staff at (800) 678-7444 or by emailing hppr@hppr.org

HPPR on/off-air on Thursday between 1 and 3 pm CT

Most of HPPR's network of stations will be on-and-off the air on Thursday, December 6th between 1 and 3 pm CT due to required maintenance work.  During this time technicians from the Public Radio Satellite Service will be making adjustments and upgrades to satellite system that HPPR uses to distribute programming to its 21 FM stations.  The most likely period for being off-air will be between 1:30 and 2:30  pm.  The only exception to this service outage will be KANZ-FM in southwest Kansas and the adjacent translator stations in Ashland, Elkhart, Liberal, Ness City and Tribune, where we can use a back-up microwave system to continue broadcasting.

We regret this necessary interruption and service.  Should you experience any reception problems after this planned period, please leave a note below or directly email HPPR's chief engineer, Chuck Springer
