We recently completed the changeover to a new, much improved audio management system, including a new program scheduling computer, file servers, workstations and more secure and reliable IT networking between our studios in Garden City and Amarillo. This work involved thousands of audio files and lines of programming code, so you may hear some glitches in our programming as we "burn-in" the system in the coming days. Lone Star State Tops Sunflower State in Sunflower Production

Texas surpassed Kansas to become third in the nation in sunflower production, Texas-based magazine Country World reports.According to 2012 numbers, Texas grew sunflowers on about 100,000 acres, with the majority in the high plains.  Texas is now ahead of neighboring sunflower producers, Kansas and Colorado, in acres planted, acres harvested, and total production.

Texas is third in sunflowers, behind North and South Dakota.
