KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Missouri Shoemaker Invents Cowboy Boot Sandals

The website Mashable.com reports that a cobbler in Missouri has found a way to make cowboy boots more breathable for the summertime by fashioning cowboy boot sandalsfrom old pairs of boots. These new boot sandals retain the top part of the boot—the part that surrounds the calf and ankle, but the lower part has been converted into a flip-flop. According to Scotty Franklin, the man who makes the boots, you can finally keep your ankles warm and your feet cool and dry. And the boot-sandals only cost $50.

While the boots are certainly cooler than the traditional version, walking in rattlesnake-infested areas in them is ill-advised.
