KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Pot Tourists in Colorado Encounter a Problem: Where to Smoke

Colorado tourists who want to smoke the pot they’ve legally purchased are running into a problem: where to light up. There’s no smoking in the stores—or on the street, or in parks, or in most hotels, reports Colorado Public Radio. Many tourists have turned to eating their marijuana; five million pot edibles were consumed in Colorado last year.

But that doesn’t solve the problem for tourists who want to smoke it. The Denver Police Department handed out over a thousand citations last year for smoking in public.

The Marijuana Policy Project is attempting to introduce a ballot measure to allow pot smoking in some bars and restaurants. And the city is working on crafting a pot club ordinance, though details are, well, hazy. In the meantime, tourists who want to smoke have little recourse but to break the law.
