KJJP-FM 105.7 is currently operating at very reduced power and signal range using a back-up transmitter. This is because of complicated problems with its very old primary transmitter. Local engineers are currently working on that transmitter and consulting with the manufacturer to diagnose and fix the problems. We apologize for this disruption and service as we work as quickly as possible to restore KJPFM to full power. In the mean time you can always stream either the HPPR mix service or HPPR connect service using the player above or the HPPR app.

Property Taxes Ranked by State

Wallethub

The average American household spends over $2,000 on real-estate property taxes each year. So, it should come as no surprise that almost $12 billion in property taxes go unpaid each year. The economic website Wallethub recently ranked states according to how high their real estate taxes are.

Of High Plains states, Colorado had the highest property taxes, falling at number 8 on the list. Oklahoma was next, landing at number 21. Kansas was much farther down on the list, at number 37. Nebraska was near the bottom, at number 45. And Texas has the lowest property taxes in the HPPR listening area, landing at number 47 on the list.

Hawaii and Alabama have the highest property taxes in the US. New Jersey has the lowest.

WalletHub’s analysts compared states using U.S. Census Bureau data to determine real-estate property tax rates.
