Representatives for the Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump campaigns recently clashed at a forum on agriculture and food issues, The Rural Blog reports.

Clinton was represented by Kathleen Merrigan, a former depuity agriculture secretary, while Trump was represented by Sam Clovis, a professor of economics at Morningside College in Sioux City, Iowa.

According to Merrigan, Clinton's main agricultural goals are increasing renewable energy, creating an immigration pathway to citizenship for an industry that relies on foreign-born labor, increasing the number of beginning farmers and ranchers, and creating more opportunities for the growing number of female farm operators.

Meanwhile, Clovis said Trump’s concerns include Supreme Court vacancies and tax reform, as well as trade and border security.
